In an unexpected twist of events on moving day at the Masters Tiger Woods was assessed a two stroke penalty for an illegal drop he took on the 15th hole Friday evening. Woods dropped from 3 under to 1 under with the penalty and now sits five strokes back of leader Jason Day. Woods responded publicly to the penalty on Twitter Saturday.
At hole 15 I took a drop that I thought was correct and in accordance with the rules. I was unaware at that time I had violated any rules.
