Super Bowl Social Command Center Tracks Chatter And Sentiment Surrounding 49ers And Ravens Darren Heitner Contributor

The HootSuite Wrestlemania 29 Command Center provides social media insights and intends to serve as a second screen for wrestling fanatics.

Dwayne The Rock Johnson and John Cena will take the stage tonight at Wrestlemania 29. In advance of the event social media management service HootSuite launched a Wrestlemania 29 Command Center tracking social media conversations including sentiment Tweets Facebook likes and number of mentions around the highly anticipated rematch.

The Wrestlemania 29 Command Center demonstrates that since April 1 The Rock has dominated the social media chatter surrounding tonight s fight. However while The Rock is dominating the Share of Voice Cena has a gigantic lead when it comes to fans liking his official Facebook page. Cena currently has about 14.41 million likes of his page while The Rock has a little over 8.46 million likes. Yet more than two times the number of people are talking about The Rock online (414 000) compared to Cena (185 400).

This is not the first time that Hootsuite has dedicated its time to create a center that tracks chatter and sentiment surrounding a major sporting event. In January Hootsuite established a Super Bowl real time social media Command Center which tracked the social conversations around the Super Bowl and the teams participating in the event the San Francisco 49ers and Baltimore Ravens. The company decided to relaunch with Wrestlemania 29 after determining that social is a huge part of WWE (nominated for seven Shorty Awards) and that the Command Center could take conversations surrounding the event to a higher level.

The Wrestlemania Command Center has utility beyond the interested consumer. It will also be displayed in the Izod Center interview area and will help the WWE interact with fans and monitor social media activity during the main fight between The Rock and John Cena. But first and foremost HootSuite wants the Command Center to be a second screen for wrestling fanatics. Fans no longer only have the ability to judge who wins the fight in the ring but also who wins the social media game.
