Talk back What did you think of Game of Thrones

Note This post discusses Sunday's Game of Thrones premiere so you may wanna skip it if you haven't watched yet

After what felt like an endless wait Game of Thrones returned last night with a fairly mellow season opener ... well except for that whole nipple situation.

Unlike shows like True Blood where the action comes fast and furious GoT often needs a little time to set the scene and introduce new characters. Last night's ep did much of that forcing us to wait a whopping 40 minutes until we got a good glimpse of Khaleesi and her dragons. (Joffrey didn't pop up until after that and we didn't see little Arya at all. The torture )

Highlights included the introduction of giants ( they're shy ) Tyrion's clash with his father and scenes with Margaery who seems far too good for Joffrey although pretty much any woman would be.

Surprisingly the premiere contained less of the sex and violence we've come to expect on Thrones with one poor soldier's nipple removal being the only moment that prompted me to cover my eyes. The sinister girl at the end of the ep felt a little horror movie esque but wound up being a clever way to re introduce Barristan Selmy to the mix.

What did you think of the Season 3 opener Did Dinklage steal the show Is Khaleesi wise to build an army of crazy devoted soldiers Is the truth really always either terrible or boring Feel free to sound off ...
